Verdict

Langford could be the answer in this claimer; Logsdail and Arctic Desert are the others to consider. The selection has been disappointing in his last three runs but he did go close to winning at Beverely back in May in handicap company, and eased to this grade he should be hard to beat, especially as he has the benefit of a good draw. Logsdail is a course and distance winner which is a plus for him and he is another that is eased in grade. He also has a fair draw and he should go well. Arctic Desert was dropped to a seller last time and he went close over 7f when chasing home Hart Of Gold. He was doing his best work at the finish that day so this extra furlong should suit, but he is a slow starter and he will need to break well to make his presence felt today. Sophie's Dream disappointed last time but his only career win came in a claimer here so he has to be respected. However, we prefer the claims of Langford who is given the vote.
