In depth

Verdict

Division One of this auction maiden looks pretty decent and after a couple of good runs in defeats on his last two starts MASS RALLY sets a decent standard and is given our vote marginally in preference of Slip Sliding Away while Ertiyaad is well bred but might just need this first outing. Having shaped like a winner in waiting on his last two starts it can be argued that the selection is still showing progressive performances. He was only beaten by an odds-on chance last time and he looks the one to beat in this line-up. Slip Sliding Away shaped well enough on his debut and looked to have enough about him to improve and take one of these races. Ertiyaad has the usual decent pedigree you'd expect from a horse belonging to these powerful connections so can run a big race on debut but the yard's runners often need their debut while Warning Song wouldn't have to improve that much to be a leading contender either. At first glance this looks a race for future winners and the first of those should be Mass Rally.
