Manjaam got up in the shadows of the post at Newcastle nine days ago having won on the Flat at that track earlier but Tapeta is his surface and he carries a penalty. Lust For Glory has run a couple of decent races over fences recently, winning at Wetherby last month, but the three-times hurdles winner Golden Taipan has proved hard to place over the larger obstacles. Torcello has been in better form over hurdles recently and won six times on the Flat on Turf, though still has a bit to prove on all-weather surfaces unlike MILLERS BANK. A winner over timber here last time, Alex Hales’ charge has placed on Polytrack at Lingfield so should give a good account. Belargus, Earth Moor, Court Royale and Beyond The Clouds, who returns following wind surgery, also catch the eye.
