Verdict

BOUNTY REEF is the selection in this poor Nursery with Barcode and Hold The Bucks also expected to feature. The selection is one of only two entrants with winning form in their last six runs, the other is Barcode, but was a long way off when last in a four runner race last time. But that run can be forgiven slightly as she failed to settle while carrying six pounds extra from her maiden win 13 days previously. Back down to a much more competitive mark today, over a better distance this filly should add to her bounty. To the other horse who has winning form, which is, Richard Hannon's Barcode. That victory in a five furlong claimer at Bath was followed by a solid effort when fourth of 12 last time out here over six furlongs. The vote goes to elsewhere though as we cannot be certain she'll stay the trip which she tackles for the first time. Hold The Bucks looked to fail to build on a solid run, when second of fourteen over course and distance, by following it up with an effort that had an air of vulnerability about it. Still some rating points to it being a slightly better display and if he can produce his top performance it might be good enough. Frame and Cover has been a consistent performer but the form from his last outing doesn't stand up with the winner failing to score again while Redhead is yet to place but is the highest rated in the field. we stick with the winning form here and plump for Bonuty Reef.
