Verdict

Lungarno Palace won easily at Huntingdon last month and is open to further improvement, though the bare form may not amount to much. Highway One O One will find this easier than the Grade 3 handicap he contested last time at Sandown, though carries a double penalty. Equus Amadeus will have benefited from his reappearance here while Jaboticaba only found a stablemate too strong on his UK debut at Warwick. Salix is probably better than his two runs to date suggest but we’ll take a chance that a promising second at Doncaster hasn’t taken too much out of ILEWIN GEEZ. That was his hurdling debut and first run since 2015 but he has had more than six weeks to recover.
