Verdict

Another race which could be slightly depleted if a trio take up alternative entries at Wincanton. Slate House, Two For Gold and Glen Forsa could all figure on past form if taking up their option here but many of these have questions to answer. Commodore was tiring when falling at the last at Cheltenham but the front-running grey had just been touched off at Haydock previously, when Saint Xavier fell, and should be prominent again. Double Shuffle goes well here but hasn’t won in a very long time and 3m is too far for Guitar Pete. KING OF REALMS never figured on his reappearance at Ascot but may have been targeted at this race again given he finished fourth last year off a 4lb higher mark.
