Verdict

Fredensborg is given another chance but support for Leo's Lucky Star would be ominous with Distiller also of interest. The selection's two runs in handicap company have been in more competitive races than this and he may benefit from the drop in grade. The first of them came over course and distance where he finished third to Palomar and French Opera despite racing too keenly; a trait which again spoilt his chance at Sandown where he finished a 13 length fourth behind Five Dream, European Dream and Mon Michel. He has the potential to be a good deal better than his current mark when he learns to settle and the fitting of cheekpieces today may assist in that respect. Leo's Lucky Star was decent on the Flat and has the potential to be a useful hurdler. Life hasn't gone according to plan thus far but he's been switched to the Pipe yard since his last outing and would have to be feared if the market were to speak in his favour. Distiller has shown some ability in three novice hurdles. This is a realistic starting point to his career as a handicapper and he's one to consider with the yard going well. However, although he still has a little to prove we'll give Fredensborg another chance to deliver the goods.
