The aptly-named DICEY AFFAIR can land this from Diane's Choice and Easy Wonder. Gary Moore's stable are in good form and this one ran well enough last time to get the vote here. Having finished close enough to a subsequent scorer prior to that and with today's contest representing a drop in class, the filly has obvious claims in a race that'll take very little winning. Indeed it says much about this contest that Diane's Choice is put forward as the most serious danger, despite the fact almost all of her best form has come at five furlongs. A winner over that trip off 54 in the summer, the exposed mare gains respect for her consistency and has in fairness shaped as though staying this trip well enough. Easy Wonder completes the shortlist on the back of her staying on fourth last time but as a winner of only one from 37 starts her limitations are there for all to see, as are those of Black Draft although this one also drops in class and might grab a place. Reigning Monarch has been consistent of late but this trip stretches his stamina so of more interest at a price is Louisiade who makes his 100th appearance here and would be a popular winner over an ideal trip. Mojeerr represents a red-hot yard and is unexposed enough to warrant a mention, Flamestone will be suited by a return to this trip whilst Davids Mark has won races off higher marks and could go well. Another weak handicap and it's hard to be too strong on any of these but we'll go with Dicey Affair in this very dicey affair.
