        Verdict

PLOVER made a promising debut over today's trip at Newbury last month when finishing a close second. The fourth has already boosted the form with a win and Sir Michael Stoute's filly is taken to open her account. Perfect Calm made a disappointing reappearance over track and trip when well fancied and should be capable of better while Soryah and Timeless look others likely to improve. A couple of newcomers stand out and are a worth a second glance namely Ghasabah and Ethel, a half-sister to a Listed winner.
