In depth

Verdict

Malaspina’s winning run came to an abrupt end when well beaten at Newcastle last time. It remains to bee seen how HUMBERT (NAP) copes with a 3lb rise after winning at Wolverhampton on his handicap debut but he beat a subsequent winner on that occasion and drops down a grade today. Hugo Palmer’s charge gets the vote given none of the remainder look particularly well handicapped though Derek Duval posted a better effort here back in October and may prove best of the rest on his first subsequent start.
