Verdict

Futurism is a half-brother to a mile winner and shaped as though this trip would be within his scope when staying on over six at Windsor last time. He should be the first port of call in a race where the market is certain to be useful but preference, at this stage, is for COUNTRYWIDE FLAME who has less to prove. He ran on strongly over seven at Beverley on his nursery bow and looks sure to go well from a high draw with Paul Hanagan taking over in the saddle although Kevin Ryan's modest record here is a concern. Paul Hanagan was aboard Not So Bright at Nottingham over six when the colt made good late progress having come under pressure early whilst Ree's Rascal, Echos Of Motivator and Hero From Zero are amongst others to note in an open race.
