In depth

Verdict

John Ferguson has sent Shubaat up on the long journey from Newmarket. He won three times over hurdles last season and will have learned plenty from his first run over fences at Chepstow. One For Arthur also won three times over hurdles last season before finding the company too hot in a Grade 1 at Aintree. Seldom Inn is lightly raced while U Name It looks a chasing type who handled the step up to 3m at Ayr in the spring. RACING EUROPE was just behind at Ayr but is 6lb better off and has already had an outing this season. He's also won between the flags so fences should bring about further improvement and he looks the one to beat with Blakemount having his first run since finishing second in a three-runner race at Wetherby almost a year ago.
