Verdict

King Barry is the pick over Ostfanni and Love That Benny, with Chief Dan George not out of it either. King Barry carried a big weight to victory at Ayr the time before last, but was beaten into second at Perth last month. However, the fast ground would have been against him, plus he did not seem to like going right-handed, and will fare much better under today's conditions. Possextown was beaten out of sight here on his reappearance but has another stab at hurdles before no doubt going back over the bigger obstacles. He would need the ground to dry out to stand a chance, and in any case has a mountain to climb to reverse form with Ostfanni and Love That Benny. Chief Dan George is proving difficult to win with but goes well round here so may make the frame at least, but overall King Barry makes most appeal with conditions in his favour.
