The Right People can give Len Lungo a third win in this event, with Compton Commander, Welsh Dream, Tobesure and Rosalyons likely to run well. Len Lungo won this race with The Next Waltz in 1998 and Now Young Man two years later, and has leading claims here with The Right People who has had just five career outings to date. He shaped well when third at Hexham in May and could be potentially well treated. The dam is a half-sister to Bradbury Star so his future will no doubt lie over fences, but with this longer trip to suit, he can open his account. Compton Commander has yet to win over timber but appeared a shade unlucky at Hexham a fortnight ago when blundering away his chance at the last. Welsh Dream lines up on the back of a hard-fought recent success at Sedgefield and was seventh in this race last year. He is closely matched with the 2005 winner Tobesure who was also runner-up in this event in 2002. Rosalyons is a bit of a standing dish as well, having collected twice in the past five years, so although another veteran, he cannot be discounted entirely. Piraeus goes well fresh, and Top The Bill has recent winning form, which all adds up to a close-knit contest on paper, with the vote going to The Right People.
