Verdict

Circus Clown has run some of his best races here but was tailed off over course and distance in December. Full Speed won on the Polytrack last month and is lightly-raced over timber while Somerset Island has been knocking on the door. Funky Munky has gone up 5lb since winning at Catterick but is fairly consistent while King's Chorister has a chance at the weights and makes more appeal than Sam Lord over this trip, though he can be a tricky ride. COVERHOLDER won a Catterick seller for Tim Vaughan in December but left that form behind when winning a Doncaster handicap for Sue Smith last week. As that was a conditionals' race he has no penalty here and, with Jonathan England again taking off 7lb, should win again.
