In depth

Verdict

Bang And Blame, Sharp Belline and Almire du Lia are three against the field in this wide open affair and the tentative vote is given to Sharp Belline. The selection has dropped to a handy mark and although disappointing last time out, that can be put down to the heavy ground. He will relish this faster surface and with his yard in top form he looks the value bet. Bang And Blame rates the main danger as he has been in the form of his life of late but he is rising in the weights and all his best efforts have come on much softer ground. With this in mind he looks worth taking on. Almire du Lia is another worthy of respect as he won well last time when beating Best China. He remains at the right end of the handicap and will not be far away. Strong Resolve is another that is well in on his best form but he has shown very little of late. Of the others, Capybara will appreciate going left-handed having jumped violently to his left last time and is another with place claims but in a race where most can be given some sort of chance, for the winner we return to Sharp Belline who looks to have plenty in his favour.
