In depth

Verdict

Horseracing's equivalent of indigestion after the feast of some thirty minutes previously, and BRACKENMOSS can provide some relief at the expense of Cassius and Nelson Du Ronceray. Keith Reveley's mare put up a respectable reappearance at Sedgefield on good ground but she is considerably better with plenty of give underfoot and should find conditions very much to her liking. At the likely odds, she makes plenty of appeal. Cassius would be a popular local winner. He has gone up the weights though his manner of racing ensures that the handicapper has not had a chance to really clobber him for those labours. Nelson Du Ronceray reverts back to hurdles having disappointed over the larger obstacles. The market will give us a fair idea of what to expect on his first run for some time. Glingerbank has won on soft going in the past and he could not be faulted for his success here in November. Kempski drops back to two miles and should find trip and going to his favour. Its Tough won a maiden hurdle for David Pipe before losing his way from thereon in. He will be making a belated reappearance under Peter Monteith's care. Babblon Brooke is noted in the market on his British debut. There are plenty of plausible winners and Brackenmoss makes most appeal to us.
