In depth

Verdict

CHAMIREY was a useful novice hurdler who has scored twice over fences and would have won three but for falling at Catterick. He had little chance in the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham last time but should get back to winning ways in this company. Flying Doctor has won six times over timber and scored over the bigger obstacles at Hexham last June. He generally jumps and stays well and looks the one to take advantage if the selection fails to fire after his hard race at the Festival. Milans Man, a winning point-to-pointer and a progressive novice over timber, hasn't shown much to date over fences but has time on his side though he's held by Club Class on their run on heavy ground at Hexham in November. Soft Spoken Guy won a novice hurdle here but has been well beaten on both starts over fences.
