In depth

Verdict

Hapeney can be the answer to this puzzle with Ashleys Petale and Rate Of Knots appearing to be the most obvious alternatives. The selection ran a stinker at Wetherby but this half-sister to Direct Route probably wasn't given too much assistance from the saddle on that occasion and in what is likely to be a slower run race, it could be worth giving Keith Reveley's mare another chance to atone for that expensive flop. Ashleys Petale hails from the resurgent Nick Gifford stable. Given a polite introduction on debut, she can be expected to have improved for that outing. Rate Of Knots is bred for further and looks a prospect in time. Celtic Heather is likely to attempt to make the running as she has done so in two outings thus far. Gold Reef has quite a bizarre pedigree to say the least. Related to sprinters, she is sired by grand flat stayer, Double Trigger. Athaliah is watched in the market for any signs of confidence.Diamond Destiny makes a debut for Neil King having left Declan Carroll. A tough race without reference to the market and we offer Hapeney a chance to redeem herself to her short price backers.
