In depth

Verdict

Queen Poline sets the standard but she's struggled under a penalty and CHILLI ROSE is preferred. Alan King's grey mare was only narrowly denied behind a nice sort last time and with conditions similar today she could gain compensation. Her form in defeat behind Kerada looks stronger than that of the penalised runners, so she's taken to make the most of the weight she receives from both Queen Poline and Ryde Back. The last named hails from the same Nicky Henderson yard as Kerada and needs a market check, but her novice hurdle victory has been let down and she jumped without any fluency last time. As such Queen Poline is more interesting; Lucy Wadham's runner is rated 122 and that sets a decent standard, so despite the fact she disappointed last time this represents a drop in grade and she's awarded the forecast vote. Lady Rhinestone wouldn't want the ground too soft but she's a stablemate of Ryde Back and has the assistance of AP McCoy and a market check is advised ahead of her hurdling debut. Contrastingly Good Faloue has her ground but she's work to do with our pick on a line through Sure Josie Sure. The others look to be up against it and we expect Chilli Rose to prove too hot here.
