In depth

Formwatch

Edredon Bleu (FR) Has won this race for the past three years and no reason to see him not winning again; has to give some weight away but should still be too good for these.

Sleeping Night (FR) Excellent effort in Charlie Hall at Wetherby earlier this month on ground thought to be unsuitably fast; has won over similar trip to this but looks more of a 3m horse now and may find this trip on the sharp side.

Young Spartacus Seems to be suited by any surface and is game and genuine; right-handed course not sure to suit and although in receipt of weight could struggle to get competitive.

Geos (FR) Making chase debut; was high-class hurdler (though slightly below top class); should have schooled well and be ready but has generally needed a run in the past.
