Shanroe Tic Tec has a 4lb penalty to carry after last week's victory in an amateurs' race at Sandown but is obviously in good heart and it would be no surprise to see him complete a double. Derrynane hasn't run since landing a Market Rasen handicap on good ground in November but he won on heavy going at Catterick last winter so conditions won't be a problem. GIN AND TONIC (NAP) was having his first start since June when runner-up in a slightly better handicap here last month. He's only moderate but has managed to win five times so looks to be in here on a fair mark. Great Colaci had been racing on the all-weather before a poor run over timber at Musselburgh but had bits and pieces of form last summer that would put him in the frame.
