Wynbury Flyer is running into form and gets the nod over Runner Bean, and Kadouko. The last-named has been off the track since scoring at Carlisle in March when in the care of Howard Johnson. The ex-Irish chaser has the ability to take a race of this nature but might be best watched on his seasonal reappearance. Wynbury Flyer was rated as high as 120 three years ago but as his trainer predicted, would struggle off that sort of mark. Ferdy Murphy has done a good job of getting his handicap mark down, and the eight-year-old started this campaign on 78. It was therefore no surprise when he nearly obliged at Catterick last time, only finding Sharpastrizam too good on the run-in. Wynbury Flyer should be the one to beat here, although Runner Bean will be a threat now that he is over his problems. A tendency to burst blood vessels has cost him dearly in the past, but current handler Richard Lee seems to have sorted him out, and this course and distance winner, who likes going right-handed, can go close. Not close enough to stop Wynbury Flyer from making the most of a decent mark though.
