In depth

Verdict

Garnett, gets the confident vote with Another Promise and Upright Ima rating the main dangers. The selection was well beaten last time out but that was in a much better race behind Tighe Caster. This looks easier and of what looks a good mark and under conditions that suit he is taken to regain the winning thread. Another promise rates the main danger on his latest second behind Otahuna but he just gave the impression the handicapper had caught up with him and for that reason he is opposed. Upright Ima is another worth place claims on her best form but she was a very disappointing favourite last time and although the return to this shorter trip should suit she still has a little to find. Hawaboys Quest is game and consistent and is sure to have his supporters but he is another that looks weighted up to his best. Of the remainder Canny Scott is a danger to all on his best form and if he is fit after a long absence he will not be far away so he should be noted in the market but for the winner we return to Garnett.
