In depth

Verdict

A dire affair in which Premier Hope is put forward with minimal confidence with Olival and El Dee the alternatives. Emma Lavelle's representative has kept better company than this in the past at novice level. The visor seems to have sharpened her up somewhat and off a lowly mark, she could have been let in lightly. Jonjo O'Neill castoff Olival is worth another look on this surface. He hasn't been that far away in the past off similar marks. El Dee has ability but lacks mental furniture. Ashwell Lad jumps well but looks dreadfully slow. Barton Sun is reunited with Graham Lee. The Paul Webber pair of More Trouble and Fermat are watched in the market. Sybarite Chief looked to have lost his way after showing initial promise. Mr Ironman won't get the dour slog he needs in order to show his best form. Premier Hope is the pick in a race that won't take a lot of winning.
