      Verdict

A wide open handicap here with many in form rivals in opposition including Joyeux Royal, Bison King, General Gossip and Lorgnette and the tentative vote goes to Bison King. The selection was a fair fifth behind Yardbird and with the step back up in trip sure to suit he will be hard to beat off what still looks a fair mark. Joyeux Royal rates the main danger as he is unexposed over this trip and won well last time when defeating Kimberley, and despite his penalty he will be a danger to all. General Gossip is also worthy of respect as he returns to hurdles having unshipped over fences last time and he looks to be on a fair mark. Lorgnette is another that could go well as he was a fair third behind Legal Lunch last time but he may now just be in the handicappers grip. Of the remainder Mini Dare and Cool Investment are from shrewd yards and worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Bison King.
