Verdict

Last year's renewal went to subsequent Arc heroine Danedream and trainer Peter Schiergen runs Silvaner here, third behind his stablemate at Baden Baden in May. Danedream then disappointed in a Group 1 at Saint-Cloud when MEANDRE bounced back to his best. That was no fluke, however, as Andre Fabre's charge was already a winner at the highest level and will take all the beating in this company. Earl Of Tinsdal landed his second Group 1 race when successful at the San Siro last month and, though he beat nothing of the selection's calibre, he still makes most appeal of the home challengers ahead of Sir Lando and Ovambo Queen.
