In depth

Verdict

Isle Of Ewe ran well for a long way on her debut at Ascot and should find this easier. Dr West was staying on when unseating his rider approaching the final furlong at Newcastle but we'd rather concentrate on the newcomers. Imperial Eloquence is one of only two runners here today for Midlands trainer Fergal O'Brien and is a half-brother to a Flat and hurdles winner. Malcolm Jefferson's bumper runners usually know their job so Tiger Mountain is worth a market check but PLEXTON has a stout pedigree which should be suited by this track. He is a half-brother to a bumper winner who won over 3m over hurdles at Cheltenham last year so gets the nod.
