In depth

Verdict

NUMBER ONE LONDON is probably the one to beat in this as he won over a longer trip at Newton Abbot in June before just failing to overhaul the useful Are They Your Own over 2m at Uttoxeter. Samedi Soir, who won a mares' handicap over course and distance in the spring, might be the one to chase him home as the fitness of both Cloudy Joker and Mister Hendre will have to be taken on trust as they return from lengthy lay-offs. It's hard to make a case for any of the others.
