Verdict

LENEY COTTAGE is taken to shrug off a penalty after scoring at Carlisle a week ago with plenty left in the tank. He makes more appeal than Suprise Vendor, who reverts to chasing off the same mark as when scoring over hurdles at Ayr last week. Treliver Manor looked to have a good chance when sent off joint-favourite at Sedgefield recently but could only manage third while Flaming Thistle has recorded both previous wins over these fences and could also go well.
