    Verdict

CORNERSTONE LAD is clear of these at the weights having won two of only four starts over hurdles so far. Caught at the line in heavy going at Haydock last time, he’s preferred to new stablemate Excalibur, who has won twice on the Flat in Poland. Teescomponents Lad won at Catterick before placing at Wetherby but has plenty to find with the selection on these terms while Pc Dixon faces an even tougher task having placed in handicaps recently. Fighting Back has shown nothing over hurdles so far.

Cornerstone Lad 10-1 (11-6) Tracked leader, pushed along before 2 out, chased winner before last, narrow lead run-in, kept on and headed post, 2nd of 6, shd behind Turning Gold (10-12) at Haydock 2m (2) hvy in Feb.

Excalibur (POL) Youmzain H out of Electra Deelites.
