In depth

Verdict

Inchcolm defied a 4lb rise for a victory over this course and distance to outstay ALTO DES MOTTES over 3m2f at Doncaster. He's up by a similar amount here and the runner-up, who looked like winning until outstayed from the last, can reverse the form and gain his first victory in almost two years. Dick Darsie won a novices' handicap at Wetherby last Boxing Day though hasn't shown anything like that kind of form subsequently but Onderun needs a real slogging match which he may get as the selection is likely to set a strong pace. Cranbrook Causeway has yet to reach a place in seven starts but Mcginty's Dream wasn't far behind Inchcolm here in May and has a big pull in the weights.
