Many of these are old rivals and regulars here but there is probably still some improvement in Devil Water, who beat Lindseyfield Lodge at Kelso last month before finishing second off this mark at Sedgefield. Ginger's Lad won at Southwell but was tailed off in this grade at Wetherby last time while Mischief Man never threatened on his comeback run at Uttoxeter, though should strip fitter here. Darkan Road promises to make a better chaser than hurdler on the evidence of his second at Sedgefield but there may be one more race in veteran I'M YOUR MAN. Evelyn Slack's 12-year-old was much more like his old self back over fences at Cartmel at the start of the month and has gone well here in the past.
