Verdict

Political Pendant finally got off the mark at the 16th attempt last time out but may struggle off this 6lb higher mark and so the vote goes to Heavy Weather ahead of Double Deputy and Toulouse Express. The selection was a fair second when last seen (over fences) and now reverting to hurdles, Jason Maguire may be able to instill some confidence in Joanne Priest's nine-year-old. Lightly-raced for his age, trip and ground will suit and he looks the value call in a very open contest. Double Deputy fell last time out when still in with every chance and now reverting to a more suitable trip, he warrants plenty of respect for his Yorkshire trainer. Ipay Isay should be watched in the market for signs of confidence, whilst Humourous has been let down by his jumping which is no laughing matter. Political Pendant may struggle on this ground off his revised mark so must be opposed, along with Ocarina who has ability but will need to put a poor last effort behind him. All in all this looks a tricky start to the day, and we will tentatively return to Heavy Weather to score.
