Verdict

Winning pointer PHOEBUS LESCRIBAA tackles 3m under Rules for the first time. He was only beaten a length when third over 2m3f at Taunton on his second start over hurdles and can open his account today. The Last But One was made favourite for a Wincanton handicap on his reappearance but was never travelling and pulled up. He is better than that and rates a danger while any market support for newcomer Bear Spirit should be taken seriously. He’s a full brother to one winning jumper and a half-brother to two others and has plenty of stamina in his pedigree.
