In depth

Verdict

A very open handicap in which Dr Charlie can gain another course and distance win, with Khaysar, Brooksie and Scottish Dance others to consider. Dr Charlie was rated 94 when scoring here in October for today's rider and, now racing from a mark of 97, clearly has to come into the reckoning. Khaysar is only slightly higher than when a solid second to Impish Jude last time while Golfagent has solid form at this level and, if the first-time visor works, can go well. Master Ride could conceivably be well-handicapped - a similar comment applying to Greenfield - but you'll have to take his fitness on trust. Former Nicky Henderson inmate Scottish Dance also warrants consideration in a tricky opener. Course form might hold sway, in which case, Dr Charlie gets the nod.
