Priest Field, Norman Beckett and Silver Blue catch the eye here with Priest Field taken to collect in a typically trappy seller. After taking a maiden hurdle at Wetherby in April, Norman Beckett has been campaigned over longer trips without success, fading in the closing stages. Back in distance in a weak contest, he can go well at a fair price. Silver Blue has five wins to his credit on the Flat, and is less exposed than some of these over hurdles. He is dropped to selling class for the first time, and on this decent ground can put his Flat speed to good use over a shorter trip than his last outing over hurdles. Winner of a Wexford claimer on the Flat last year, Priest Field was third in a similar contest to this last time, and though that was only a reasonable effort, this contest is so weak that he is a leading player and Priest Field, with McCoy on board, can prove too good.
