      Verdict

Mark Pitman, who has been quiet of late, has a good record in these events and the flat bred Gigs Bounty is worthy of plenty of respect. This doesn't look the strongest of bumpers and the five-year-old is taken to make a winning debut. Ambience, who is a half-brother to winning hurdler Ambidextrous, ruined his chance on his debut by pulling too hard. If he settles better here, he looks sure to be involved in the shake up. Rome is sure to be all the wiser for his outing at Kempton and will be difficult to keep out of the frame, while Tomwontpayalot, who is out of a dual-winning hurdler, may do best of the rest.
