Verdict

The front-running Rizzardo is better over shorter trips and was disappointing in a couple of runs at the start of summer. Bretney should play a part if a recent run at Uttoxeter has blown away a few cobwebs, though Earcomesbob is much better off at the weights than when third behind Henry Daly’s charge at the same track last December. FAMILY POT has only been raised 2lb for beating two rivals over 2m4f at Ludlow. The grey was placed off a higher mark over 3m at Bangor in April when Sean Houlihan was in the saddle. The Boat is probably worth another try over 3m and Abington Park and Eaton Miller are others to consider.
