Verdict

Muzdaher, Clara Bow and Strawberry Leaf look the three to focus on in the finale and the vote is given to Muzdaher. The selection make a pleasing debut when a good second behind Ashkal Way at Beverley. There is sure to be more to come from this colt who cost 650,000 dollars as a yearling and it will be a surprise if he is not able to get his head in front. Clara Bow was a fair fourth behind Babe Maccool at Newmarket last time and she should be capable of losing her maiden tag before too long. However, she is nothing special and she may have to play second fiddle to our selection today. Strawberry Leaf proved she stays this trip last time at Lingfield when a close third behind Front Stage. She is clearly going the right way but she will have to improve on what she has shown so far to get the better of our selection. Sovereignty looks the best of the remainder, although he has had plenty of chances and we are happy to return to Muzdaher who looks the one to beat.
