Hanseatic is the only one of these to have won on the track though that was in 2013 and he's only won once on Turf subsequently. Fleetfoot Jack ended the last campaign with a double at Hamilton on soft going but he takes a step-up in grade from a 4lb higher mark. The moderate Fire Diamond has been brilliantly placed to win seven races though all have been on the all-weather with just one placed effort in nine starts on Turf. Compass Hill has some form on testing ground in Ireland and will be better for his two runs at Wolverhampton but Scrutiny does best on artificial surfaces and Isstoora has never run on Turf. Mustaqbal has the form to get involved but took a few races to warm up last term so the vote goes to MAN OF VERVE (NAP). Philip Kirby's charge gained a shock victory over this trip in a Newcastle handicap last month then found 1m3f beyond him on the same track though he didn't get the run of the race. The ex-Irish-trained Pullman Brown looks best of the remainder.
