Verdict

Another large field goes to post for this handicap and it could pay to stick with FANTASY EXPLORER; the list of dangers is headed by Invincible Force, Fol Hollow and Northern Empire. The selection won well last time at Newmarket when he beat Resplendent Alpha and he remains on a fair mark. He goes on the ground and he has the talented Jamie Kyne taking 7lbs off his back so he should run another big race. Invincible Force went close here last time out on heavy ground. He is better on a quicker surface and the drop back to the minimum trip is another plus for him. Dandy Nicholls has to be respected in these type of events so it would be no surprise to see Fol Hollow go close, while Northern Empire has been given a break since his last run and he would also have to enter calculations if he is back to his best. Toms Laughter has enjoyed a fruitful season and he ran well last time so he is not out of this either. However, Fantasy Explorer might well have struck form at the right time and he is taken to land the prize.
