Verdict

A promising novice last season, Paisley Park made a winning return at Aintree and steps up in trip for this. Captain Cattistock attempts 3m for the first time having finished a close-up sixth in this grade at Chepstow while Bobo Mac is having his second start after wind surgery and is worth a try at this level. Folsom Blue has won off a similar mark over fences and has to come into the reckoning representing Gordon Elliott with Richard Johnson on board but it could pay to stick with the progressive FIRST ASSIGNMENT. A winner at Cheltenham on his comeback, Ian Williams’ charge won a Listed event over today’s trip at the same track last Saturday with plenty to spare and is taken to defy a 5lb penalty.
