This should rest between the two former winners in the field Garnett and Salut Saint Cloud, with preference for the first named. The selection, a middle distance maiden, was just about the best of these on the flat and needed every yard of the sharp two miles at Wincanton on his hurdling debut, staying on well to lead close home and beat Avesomeofthat by a length. Alan King's gelding should have learned a good deal from that and is taken to get the better of Salut Saint Cloud. Gary Moore's gelding did all that was asked of him when making a winning debut over hurdles at Chepstow at the beginning of the month but the opposition here looks tougher and he may have to settle for a minor role. Cannon Fire showed ability on the flat and again over hurdles at Fontwell last month. He looks a bigger threat than Tim Easterby's Bollin Annabel, who was largely frustrating on the level. Biscar Two, who is held by Salut Saint Cloud on running at Chepstow, looks the best of the remainder in a race that is taken to go to Garnett.
