        Verdict

        Corridor Creeper had two length sin hand over Smokin Beau when the pair finished first and second at Goodwood last month and is taken to confirm those places with Bishops Court rated the best of the remainder. The selection has shown improved form over the last couple of years and will appreciate the fast ground more than his main rival, who prefers more cut in the surface. Brian Meehan's Fast Heart has every chance at the weights but is strictly held by Bishops Court on their running at Epsom and, even on this different track, it will be hard for him to reverse the form. Lynda Ramsden's evergreen 11-year-old had little chance form a bad draw at Chester last time so that run is probably best ignored and he cannot be discounted completely. Dazzling Bay gave little sign for encouragement on his return at Newmarket and a bigger threat may come from the three-year-old Beckermet, although it is never easy for the classic generation against their elders at this time of year. The vote though goes to Corridor Creeper, who comes here in good form and is taken to follow up his Goodwood success.
