In depth

Verdict

King's Pavilion made all to win a similar contest over track and course and distance on good to soft ground three weeks ago. He narrowly beat the re-opposing Storm Ahead with Fastar, Custom Cut and Crownthorpe all further behind but is taking on a couple of progressive three-year-olds in this. Jackpot Royale landed a hat-trick with a comfortable win in soft going at Newbury but has been raised a further 8lb while Sod's Law carries 6lb extra bidding for a treble after scoring at Pontefract. Queen Penn has been in good form over shorter trips but ALEMARATALYOUM (NAP) has won twice over course and distance already this year including a higher grade contest last month. Today’s going is not a problem and another bold bid is expected from Iain Jardine’s charge.
