In depth

Verdict

Star Shield is only 3lb higher than when scoring over course and distance on soft ground last year and arrives off the back of a second at Leicester when Ahdab was behind. He looks a threat to all while Fox Power may not have been suited by the fast going when fourth at Yarmouth earlier this month. Streak Lightning, however, has become disappointing. RAINS OF CASTAMERE handles all types of going and boasts a decent strike-rate. He is still creeping up the weights but has been generally progressive this year so shouldn’t be far away again.
