Phoenix Returns ran green when third on his racecourse debut at Carlisle but it's still difficult to see him overturning that form with close-up second HI GEORGE on the same terms. Malcolm Jefferson's gelding, a half-brother to winning hurdlers Attaglance and Young Buddy, can go one better here though Eligible showed promise when only finding Stock Hill Fair too good at Fontwell last month. Buckshee has a decent pedigree and is probably the most interesting of the newcomers, though stablemate Old Testament would also be worth a look.
