Verdict

Dr Jameson, Dubai Hills and Musical Bridge are three for the short list in this maiden and we'll take DUBAI HILLS to break his duck. Bryan Smart's colt improved from his debut to run a good race at Newcastle last time and looks primed and ready for today's event. It is certainly a plus that he handled soft ground well at Gosforth Park and he looks the one they all have to beat. Dr Jameson probably looks next best. Richard Fahey's gelding was runner up on his Redcar debut on fast ground but handled good to soft well last time over 7f. The drop back in trip here should not be a problem and we can see him going very well. Musical Bridge is one of the more experienced participants, having hit the frame on three of his four starts, and this step up to 6f might elicit further improvement, although there are concerns over the going. Jul's Lad handles conditions though there are questions to answer over the trip, while Bob's Smithy is not beyond improvement. However in an interesting maiden we'll take Dubai Hills to score.
