Verdict

DEBECE ran well at Aintree following a lay-off and will be better suited by today’s surface. He was placed in a Grade 1 contest as a novice just over 12 months ago and has untapped potential. Page Fuller made all on Monbeg Theatre at Cheltenham last month but runner-up Whataknight is now 6lb better off and had earlier finished ahead of Prime Venture and Wait For Me in the Pertemps Final at The Festival. Carlos Du Fruitier struggles to stay this far and there are also stamina doubts surrounding Sandown second Wolf Of Windlesham and Irish raider Just Janice but top weight The Tourard Man would relish a strong gallop as he was staying on when hampered and unseating his rider at the last on his latest start.
